features that increase the likelihood of a causal relationship between CS and PFO include younger age, Vasalva maneuver at onset, extended air or car trvel preceding the stroke, concomitant venous thrombosis in the leg or pelvis, coesisting venous hypercoagulable statem coexisting ASA, history of migraine with aura, cortical location, multiplicity, large size of cerebral infarctsm and absent HTN, smoking and diabetes
